Culinary delights at Culinarium

Modern, tasteful, with a hint of tradition: the Culinarium, born out of the former Bormacher Festhalle restaurant, which many a citizen of Monheim will fondly remember. Meanwhile, the large event location is hardly recognizable after having undergone extensive renovation and being given a Mediterranean-inspired interior, and has become a meeting point offering culinary delights in the welcoming atmosphere that is typical of Monheim am Rhein.

The combination of a Mediterranean feel with Rhenish tradition is also reflected in the menu: it has everything from albondigas, calamari, and freshly cut Serrano ham to steaks and burgers, Sauerbraten and goulash, to vegetarian or vegan dishes to tickle your palate. Salads, soups, and snacks are available if you want a lighter meal, and something to satisfy your sweet tooth is on offer from the afternoon onwards, such as home-made waffles, cakes and Kaiserschmarrn.

For us, it goes without saying that everything is freshly prepared – from a basic jus to a dressing – in fact, it’s extremely important to us!

We offer a broad variety of selected wines and beers to go with your meal. And perhaps we can tempt you with a grappa afterwards? A specialty of the house, home-made.

Our spacious restaurant and large terrace with a view into the trees make the Culinarium in the old town of Monheim an ideal location for your next big or small celebration.

We are open from lunchtime onwards, on seven days a week. Let your day end with a fine meal or just come in for a drink – we look forward to welcoming you as our guest!
